just ignoring you."
* 1/20/01 - Eddy update:  Eddy had to have surgery and have an eye removed
a few days before Christmas.  The ferrets used to crawl up inside the back
of my sofa and we think he lacerated his eye on an exposed staple.
(We quickly dragged that furniture to the curb and our now buying
a futon)  That's a warning to all ferret owners - I know they like
to climb up inside furniture but it's not always safe in there!
Poor little Eddy lost an eye and I lost $600.00!
It's been almost a month since his surgery and he's doing just great.
Doesn't seem to hinder him at all.  In fact, the day we brought
him home from the vet he was the one trying to get his brothers to wrestle!
Here's pics of him just after surgery with his stitches still in (check out that
shaved face - he looked like a punk ferret!) and one of him with Teddy
after he got the stiches out to show how this
sure hasn't dampened the wrestler in him!

* 4/14/01 - Eddy update: Eddy's fur and whiskers all grew back in and he's
doing great.  Kinda looks likes he's always winking at you.  I have such
admiration for this little guy - born deaf, lost an eye, but he's the happiest
little ferret you could meet!  Always greets me with little ferret kisses,
loves to be hugged and especially adores rough housing with his brothers!
Just goes to show how tough these little guys are - handicaps don't get them down!

12/26/01 - Eddy was missing for three days.  I found him the same day my beloved Tyler Dawg was
put to sleep after trying to fight bone cancer.  Eddy had somehow crawled back behind my oven range and had
been electrocuted.  I will miss you little Eddy.  You lived a short and tragic life. :o(

HERE I COME, MOMMY!
